Elkhart, IN- Republican Congressional Candidate Jackie Walorski (IN-02) announced her recent endorsement from the Indiana Farm Bureau’s political action committee, Indiana Farm Bureau ELECT.

“I am honored to receive this important endorsement from Indiana’s farmers,” said Walorski.  “Agriculture is the cornerstone of our state’s economy and supporting our family farms is critical.  At a time when Indiana farmers are suffering from a devastating drought, they need to know their next representative will fight to protect their farms and voice their concerns at the federal level.”

The Indiana Farm Bureau ELECT selects candidates based on their viability and electability.  Endorsement criteria include the candidate’s support and understanding for Farm Bureaus, farmers, agriculture, and rural issues.

At a meeting last week, ELECT trustees heard speeches from both Congressional candidates, and ultimately voted to endorse Walorski.
