The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading representative of small business owners, is endorsing Rep. Jackie Walorski (IN-02) for re-election. Walorski has a strong record of supporting legislation that would help small businesses and should be returned to the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Congresswoman Walorski understands what Indiana small businesses need to thrive and prosper,” said NFIB/Indiana State Director Barbara Quandt Underwood. “She’s been fighting in Washington to relieve the burden of high taxes, red tape, and high health insurance costs. Small business owners in her district want to see her re-elected so she can keep up the good work.”

“I am honored to receive the NFIB’s endorsement, and I am committed to fighting for our small businesses, which drive economic growth and job creation here in the 2nd District,” Walorski said. “I have stood up for small businesses by voting to stop the job-killing medical device tax, delay the burdensome overtime rule, and rein in out-of-control regulations. I look forward to continuing to partner with NFIB, an essential voice for job creators and entrepreneurs, on reforms that enable our local businesses to be successful.”

Walorski was presented the endorsement by at First Response, a Hoosier family-owned small business in South Bend on Monday afternoon.

Walorski’s endorsement comes from the NFIB Save America’s Free Enterprise (SAFE) Trust, the organization’s political action committee. Candidates are selected based on their positions on key small business issues such as taxes, labor, healthcare, and regulatory reform.

Walorski earned a 100 percent NFIB rating 15 votes scored in the 114th Congress, and she has a 100 percent lifetime NFIB voting record.
